Ralph has a general interest in the restaurant industry with a particular passion for Indian food. His vast experience spans over 20 years havingĀ  owned several restaurants in Portugal and Goa.

Ralph has now brought Haute Indian dining to the communities of Chessington, Claygate, Oxshott, Surbiton and Esher where he lives.

The new Saffron Summer Indian restaurant welcomes you to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine without the need to travel to central London, offering sensible pricing and a place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Indian dining in your neighborhood.

Executive Chef and business partner Awanish Roy joined Saffron Summer to deliver top quality authentic Indian cuisine with a modern twist.

Awanish was trained to a high standard at the famous Oberoi Hotels in India.

In the UK he worked at the Cinnamon Club in Westminster, London.

Awanishs’ claim to fame is that he has cooked for a number of Prime Ministers and a number of celebrities.

Over a four year period he ‘headed up’ the teams at the Roti Chai and Chai Ki kitchens.

Awanish is dedicated to preparing, cooking and presenting authentic Indian cuisine those who love the taste of Indian food.

He certainly is an asset to Saffron Summer!
